Frequently asked

Common Miami Gardens insurance questions.

Pulled from the actual conversations we have on WhatsApp, email and the phone. If your question isn’t here, send it over and a licensed agent will get back to you.

If you're on Citizens, yes. Starting January 1, 2027, every Citizens residential policy with wind coverage requires separate flood insurance. If you're in the private market today it isn't mandatory statewide, but mortgage lenders may require it based on your flood zone (A, V zones) regardless of carrier.

NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) is federal, caps building coverage at $250,000, and has standardized rules. Private flood is usually broader — higher limits, loss of use, replacement cost on contents in more cases. In Miami-Dade, private can be cheaper or more expensive depending on the property. We quote both side by side.

State Farm is a captive — they can only quote State Farm. We're independent, so we shop 20+ carriers on your behalf and keep doing it at every renewal. If State Farm stays the best choice for you, we'll tell you so. We just want you to actually have the comparison.

Home and condo: usually same business day. Auto: often within an hour. Commercial: 24–72 hours depending on the carrier and documents needed. The quote form on this site goes straight to a licensed agent on our team — not a call center.

Yes — our whole client-facing team is bilingual EN/ES. We also have a growing capability in Hebrew.
